Gila County Historical Museum

Branding + Website Redesign + Strategy

Website Redesign

Originally built on a custom content management system, Gila County Historical Museum was in need of a new website revamp.

Sheldon and the crew welcomed me to the Museum to begin our collaboration, they even supplied the cookies!

I had two photo sessions in which I took the majority of the photos used on the website.  It was heaven looking through old maps and relics from my hometown.

The old was creatively merged with a sleek new site, sure to attract a few history lovers and researchers alike.

Brand Redesign

A Xerox copy of their logo in hand, I knew just what this project needed! A brand overhaul to complete the site.  Three concepts were presented and this one was chosen! (Though I love the other two as well.)

Inspired by their original logo, the building sketch is of the Museum.  Right off the bat I could tell how important this building was to the staff.

The Building was originally the location of the Mine Rescue Station in 1920.  Today you can see mine rescue equipment among other treasures from the surrounding area of Globe-Miami, Arizona.
